DESCRIPTION:FAMILY UNIFICATION\, PENSION\, CITIZENSHIP\, SCHOOL & More\nChange of Rules & Updates\nThe Danes WorldWide\, the Embassy of Denmark and the Danish-Thai Chamber of would like to invite all Danes (and spouses) living in Thailand to an information meeting where we will give you an update on new rules and issues\, which affect most Danes residing in Thailand. Among the topics on the agenda are the following: \n\n –  Updates and the options for returning home to Denmark with a foreign spouse? (the rules for family reunification / familiesammenføring).\n– Retention of citizenship for Danish children born abroad (the 22-year-old rule).\n– Danish national pension (folkepension)\, and NemKonto.\n– Keeping your Danish Driving License and alternative solutions in Thailand.\n– Admission to Danish schools and university.\n\nAmong the speakers will be Ambassador Danny Annan\, Secretary-General Michael Bach Petersen as well as Lisbeth Kjaergaard\, leading law counselor from Danes Worldwide. \nDATE: 5 February 2026.\nTIME: 1730 (registration starts) and the meeting will start sharp 1800 and close 2100.\nVENUE: The Embassy of Denmark\, Sathorn Soi 1\, (10 Soi Attakarn Prasit)\, South Sathorn Road\,10120 Bangkok\nADMISSION FEE: 350 THB per person. This fee includes snacks drinks. \nThe program is available here. \n  \nSECURITY NOTE!\nWe would like to draw your attention to the security policies at The Royal Danish Embassy. \n\nIn order to be admitted to the event\, please bring identification proof with you. The following documents with a photo ID will be accepted: National ID cards\, passports & driver’s license cards.\nWalk-ins without prior registration will be rejected at the main gate of the embassy.\nLate arrivals (after 1800 ) will be rejected.\nWe appreciate your understanding and cooperation.\n\nPlease note\, that there are no parking possibilities at the embassy itself. However\, parking spaces will be available in the vicinity of the Embassy area (123 parking lot 300 m from the embassy).
