SUMMARY:Save the Date - Joint Information Meeting for Danes in Thailand
DESCRIPTION:Dear Members and Friends\, \nOn the 5 February 2025 DTCC and Danes will together with the Embassy of Denmark repeat the success from 2024 and arrange a joint information meeting for Danes and their families on current issues. \nDanes Worldwide has had important progress during 2024 with Danish politicians to create awareness and changes in regulations for Danes abroad. At this meeting we will inform on the progress achieved to make life a bit easier for Danes abroad. \nThis meeting offers a unique opportunity to get an update on new rules and issues\, which affect most Danes residing in Thailand. Among the topics on the agenda are the following: \n\nWhat are the options for returning home to Denmark with a foreign spouse? (the rules for family reunification / familiesammenføring).\nRetention of citizenship for Danish children born abroad (the 22-year-old rule).\nDanish national pension (folkepension)\nPossible issues and challenges about moving back to Denmark\n\nPROGRAMME \n17:30 – Light refreshments are served – Finger food and sweets.\n18.30 – Welcome speech by Ambassador Danny Annan\n18.40 – Marianne Kruger\, Danes WorldWide and Michael Andersen\, Secretary General of the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce\n19:00 – Michael Bach Petersen\, Secretary General of Danes Worldwide\, accompanied by Lisbeth Kjaersgaard\, leading law councilor at Danes Worldwide. Michael and Lisbeth will attend online\n20:00 – Short break with refreshments\n20:15 – Open discussion and questions\n21:00 – End of event \nYou can register for this meeting here. \nThe meeting will be held in both Danish and English for everybody to be able to join. There will be served light refreshments\, selection of snacks\, soft drinks\, water & tea/coffee. \nPrice for participation is 300 Bath/Person. You will receive payment information upon registration. \nPlease remember to bring either your passport or ID-card with photo to gain access.
