Dear Members and Friends,

The Institute of Security and International Studies together with Chulalongkorn University are inviting you to a Public Forum on “Global Unravel, Great-Power Conflict, Middle Powers, and Small-State Dilemmas: Perspectives from Southeast Asia and New Zealand” on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025 at 09.30 – 11.30.

The broad unravelling of the international system is no longer in doubt. This geostrategic and adverse turn of events is profound and unprecedented. It is underpinned by an ongoing and dynamic geopolitical confrontation and geo-economic conflict between the United States and China, the preeminent great powers so far in the 21st century. At issue in the ongoing global unravel is its speed, direction, consequences, and meanings. How US-China contestation unfolds will determine the shape and form of the international system to come.

The whereabout and date and time and contact details appears on the poster. How to get to the venue at Chulalongkorn University can be seen at this map.

The agenda for the public forum can be read here.
