A new pricing structure from the Thai government has approved a regulation allowing Thai hospitals to charge foreigners more for hospital services. The new prices will come into effect on 30 September.

Foreigners has been divided into 3 groups:

  1. Foreigners from neighbouring countries (including Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam)
  2. Foreigners working or studying in Thailand (Non B, ED, M)
  3. Foreign retirees and tourists (Non O, TR, VOA)

The three groups are subject to three different prices structures. Group 1 will get the cheapest services out of the three groups and group 3 will get most expensive.
