A new pricing structure from the Thai government has approved a regulation allowing Thai hospitals to charge foreigners more for hospital services. The new prices will come into effect on 30 September.
Foreigners has been divided into 3 groups:
- Foreigners from neighbouring countries (including Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam)
- Foreigners working or studying in Thailand (Non B, ED, M)
- Foreign retirees and tourists (Non O, TR, VOA)
The three groups are subject to three different prices structures. Group 1 will get the cheapest services out of the three groups and group 3 will get most expensive.
