In late March a new Decree was issued which changes some of this (the firm’s summary of key points only is attached). The JFCCT team is updating this policy now using a good EN translation of the law.

Baker & McKenzie which has issued some commentaries on the situation has kindly offered to host a workshop:

Venue for the workshop: Baker & McKenzie – 25th Floor, Abdulrahim Place – Mon 28 May 3.30pm – 5.00pm. Host will be K Suriyong Tungsuwan  who leads the Labour and Employment practice at Baker McKenzie in Bangkok.

An agenda will be available some time before the workshop, but is will include an understanding of the current law, including new reporting requirements, a revised definition of ‘work’ and also more steps which need to be taken. The Agenda will be posted under Upcoming Events at http://www.jfcct.org/jfcct-upcoming-events/

RSVP via filling the registration form at https://goo.gl/forms/AefhLlbsdNtxmupQ2 within May 23. There is no charge, but places are limited to 20. If you do register and cannot make it, please advise in advance.
