On Friday, 24 April, the Danish–Thai Chamber of Commerce hosted its Easter Business Lunch 2026 at the Stable Lodge Hotel & Restaurant. Over 20 Thai and Danish businesspeople gathered to enjoy an afternoon of good company, networking, and Danish culinary traditions.
The lunch, held from 12:00 to 17:00, featured a festive Lucky Draw with 15 prizes from generous sponsors, adding a touch of excitement to the day. Among the distinguished guests was Ambassador Danny Annan, whose presence added to the warm atmosphere of the occasion.
The ED, Michael Andersen, entertained with the fantastic 130 years old story of the Dane (Knud Lyne Rahbek) that was crucial and contracted directly under His Majesty Rama V in constructing the first permanent travel link to Khorat from Bangkok through dense jungle filled with tropical deceases and bandits. Thus, making Northeast Thailand easily accessible and fully included under Siamese administration for the newly established Siamese Gendarmerie lead by Major Erik Seidenfaden. Erik was the uncle of the first Danish Ambassador to Thailand, Gunnar Seidenfaden.
True to Danish tradition, the Easter Lunch featured three kinds of herring served with snaps, beer, and wine, followed by a full Easter buffet. The leisurely five-hour meal concluded with bread, cheeses, and fresh fruit – all served ad libitum by Stable Lodge Restaurant.
DTCC extends heartfelt thanks to the Embassy of Denmark and the many sponsors who made the event possible: Pandora Productions, LINAK, ECCO, KVIK Furniture, Pharma Nord, Stable Lodge, Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Bangkok, Kai New Zealand Restaurant, Co Van Kessel, and Carlsberg Beer.
