
The GDPR regulations enforced by EU since 25 May 2018, is related to businesses, mainly internet services, by enforcing strict measures and protections of their customer’s private information. This new regulation also requires businesses, that contain personal information of customers, “to specify terms of use related to privacy in a clear and an easily understood language” and require users to consent to the business to store and use that private information. With this new policy in place, many countries, including Thailand and its business that associate with people of European citizenship will be affected. What will be the effects of this policy be on the businesses and customers be in Thailand?
