Denmark, Greenland and USA have struck a landmark deal over Greenland’s security, ending a tense diplomatic standoff triggered by President Donald Trump’s threats to take the territory by force.
NATO hailed the agreement as a stabilizing move for the region. Trump announced that Denmark will grant the US “permanent control over security, and all other needs” in Greenland, whatever that means, the semi-autonomous Danish territory in the Arctic.
Basically there is two main parts of the agreement with major focus on military cooperation, whereas the second smaller part is on investments and other activities.
