As the situation is getting better in most parts of the country, the MOPH has proposed the easing of restrictions starting this upcoming Monday (22/02/2021) after it is hopefully approved by the CCSA general meeting. Provinces that have been previously categorized as High Controlled Areas, namely Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan, will move down one tier to Controlled Area. Only Samut Sakhon will remain in the highest level of maximum and strict controlled area. This relaxation will allow businesses to reopen or operate for longer hours, and enable social and economic activities to continue. The CCSA still urges the public to remain vigilant and continue practicing DMHTT in order to allow the restrictions to be further relaxed and prevent the virus from returning.
