The DTCC has from our corporate member Baker McKenzie received the following legal update regarding the consequences of the government Emergency Decree which took effect from 26 March 2020 for employers and employees. These measures combined with the Cabinet’s earlier resolution to postpone the Songkran public holiday as part of the efforts to encourage social distancing, raise a number of HR-related issues that employers need to revisit.
The information sheet is much more concrete than the previous messages we have seen. However, please note that the Ministerial Regulation and Notifications are pending the legal formality and could be subject to further changes. Please read more from the the Legal Update by Baker McKenzie here.
Take care and avoid the fake news out there.
Kind regards,
Michael Andersen
